What is your motivation for obtaining your degree?
The need to be great is my motivation. With so many fantastic friends and family members that are doing great things in the world, it’s always been inspiration for me to keep pushing and keep striving academically and in life.
I currently work at a Marketing firm and with plans to move up in the Advertising/Marketing world, I believe this to be a good step for my future. By earning my MBA, I’m actually learning information that I can apply in the business world.
Why did you choose ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½’s Graduate & Professional Studies Program?
My dad attended ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ for his MBA, and that definitely influenced my decision. I researched several other programs, but after hearing about his experience during his educational journey, I knew this was the right place for me.
Also, since I obtained my degree from a school with over 40,000 students, I was definitely interested in getting a more intimate experience in my post-graduate studies. At ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½, I feel like I actually get to know my professors. They’re always available to answer my questions and give me advice that I can apply in life and in my career. This is why I chose ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½â€™s MBA program.
Please share one tip for your fellow classmates and future AU students:
Balance is key! I’m a huge fan of checklists, schedules, and planners when it comes to staying organized. It’s so important to make sure that you not only stay on top of your school work, but that you also make time for you. School is important, but so is living life! It is definitely beneficial to come up with some type of system that will give you a healthy balance in order to make life easier for you; especially for those full-time students/employees.
What helps to keep you motivated while you are in the program?
I’d have to say my determination to succeed in life, a strong support system, and God/prayer. With these three things, I know anything is possible.
