This is our first graphic novel. It is the accompaniment to the limited edition LP or CD. My sister said I should make a cartoon about all my failed relationships. Like it would be funny or something. Since my love life and these songs are so interconnected I guess it only made sense. I wish I knew now what it’s going to evolve into but I`m sort of just getting the hang of letting it all hang out. God forbid I bare my soul without the pictures. If we want our work appreciated as an album, then it’s up to us to rework the format, and give you new reasons to listen to it that way. For us, that means delving into tangents, into the events that have shaped the creation of the music. That’s a part of what this graphic novella is about. The Vinyl LP’s got liner notes, but there is more of the narrative to explore in The Plan.
2. Currently Writing:
…all of a sudden, there was this whole way of spinning all of our current frustrations and ignorance into a tangible perspective. This was a concept and world that I had never been exposed to before. When I got to a point where I was relatively comfortable with all the ideas, I created something along the lines of what your holding now. I called up Kirk and Dareck, and told them that we had a plan, we had a direction…
This series of links pull pieces from a manuscript im working. They’ll be new segments posted every other week in early 2010. I still don’t have a title for it as yet. It’s inspired and based on current events. I’ve got some idea’s for the images that will complete the manuscript, and Dareck is going to be the illustrator. The images might have a similar feel to the graphic novel, which will create linearity between the two books.
