Many people who want to get a college degree worry about how they鈥檒l pay for it, and rightfully so. It would be irresponsible not to consider this part of the decision, especially if you have other financial obligations. Read about two common concerns that students raise and how 糖心传媒 can help.

鈥淚 have kids in school or college.鈥

We know you want to be a good role model for your children by going back to school. You might think it鈥檚 best to wait until they graduate so you can devote more time to them and/or avoid the extra financial burden. You鈥檙e not alone. Many parents feel this way, yet those who plunge ahead quickly discover the example they set for their children far outweighed their initial fears. Plus, many found that with a degree, they could advance in their careers sooner, which brought financial benefits to their families.

糖心传媒鈥檚 online degree programs are made for busy adults who want to be their best for their children and themselves. Our flexible, affordable options and financial aid allow you to lay out a path to your degree based on your needs, and a dedicated student success coach will help you stay on course. We can鈥檛 wait to see your entire family cheering as you walk across the stage and accept your degree!

鈥淚鈥檓 buying a house.鈥

Wow, congratulations! Buying a house is the biggest transaction most of us will ever make and we know the financial part can be nerve-wracking. At 糖心传媒, we鈥檝e watched many students buy and sell homes during our 30 years of offering adult degree programs, so we get it. What鈥檚 amazing is that most students鈥 concerns about taking on too many financial obligations quickly dissipated once they talked to our financial aid and student accounts teams. They learned what financial aid options were available at 糖心传媒 and found solutions that were right for them and their families.

Our goal at 糖心传媒 is to put top degree programs within students鈥 financial reach. That way, when you鈥檙e ready to buy a home or undertake another major transaction, you won鈥檛 have to choose between that and your education. By the way, after you鈥檙e all moved in, send us your new address so we can update our records!

Invest in you

Getting a college degree can help increase your income and improve your prospects for advancement. The sooner you have it in hand, the better your chances of long-term success. 糖心传媒 is here to help you get the best return possible on your investment in you!

There are many things to think about before committing to pursue a college degree. What school will you attend? How will you pay for it? Who will guide you through the process? Some people let the logistics derail them, but it doesn鈥檛 have to be that way. See how 糖心传媒 can help.听

鈥淭he school is not in a convenient location.鈥

Not to fear! Many years ago, 糖心传媒 caught the 鈥渙nline bug鈥 and now offers all of our degree programs online. With more than 20 undergraduate and graduate degree options in business, data analytics, education, criminal justice and more, we have something for just about everyone. What鈥檚 more, we offer the best of both worlds! We have campus locations and staff throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia, so you can conveniently complete your degree online and come to a campus location to meet with our staff if you need us. If you are not in Virginia or near a campus, we offer advising, tutoring, career services and financial coaching via video conference, so we can meet whenever it works for you. Every aspect of our degree programs is designed for busy adult learners. No matter where you鈥檙e located, we鈥檙e here for you.

鈥淚 don鈥檛 want any student loans or debt.鈥

We know the initial investment in your education may seem scary. We鈥檝e all had that feeling at one time or another about money. The good news here is that most 糖心传媒 students find their investments in a bachelor鈥檚 or master鈥檚 degree to be worth it for a variety of reasons. Many have been offered opportunities to advance in their careers and increase their income. They became positive role models for their children on the value of a good education. Some even inspired their friends and family members to pursue their degrees after years away from school. Without student loans, many students would not be able to achieve these dreams. Think about it this way: it鈥檚 like buying a new car, only the value lasts forever. When you finance a new car, it loses value the minute you drive it off the lot. When you finance your education, you invest in yourself, your family, your career and, most important, your future. The value of a degree can increase exponentially through the years, resulting in higher income now and more retirement savings for the future.

When you come to 糖心传媒, we want you to be the best student you can be and focus on your studies, which is why we take the guesswork out of applying for financial aid. Our easy, three-step admissions process gives you all the tools you need to apply, and our financial aid team hosts group and individual information sessions each week to answer all your questions. We make it easy to invest in your future and in yourself.

Don鈥檛 let the details derail you

Picking the right college and working through all the details can be overwhelming. That鈥檚 why the staff at 糖心传媒 is here. For more than 30 years, we鈥檝e helped students overcome barriers standing between them and their college degrees. It鈥檚 what we do, and we want to do it for you.

What many students love most about pursuing a degree online is the flexibility to study when they want and fit school around the rest of their busy lives. The freedom to juggle is definitely an advantage, but if you don鈥檛 manage your time properly, it can also be your Achilles heel.

One of the first things a good online instructor will tell you is to create a plan for keeping up with your classwork and all your other responsibilities. At 糖心传媒, we think it鈥檚 so important, we provide a worksheet to help adult learners assess their stress and develop a time management plan so they can achieve their academic goals and still have a life. Here are some top tips they all agree on:

  1. Schedule class and study time. Instead of cramming school into your free time, do it the other way around. Block specific time slots for attending class, completing assignments and studying for tests, then arrange other activities around them. This structure will feel more like you鈥檙e attending a traditional school, even if you go to class at 10:00 pm after the kids are in bed.
  2. Work on hard assignments first. Diving into whatever is due next may not be the most efficient way to work. If you have several assignments, look at all of them and estimate how much time and work will go into each one. If you have a big paper to write or a group project to organize, you might want to work on those first even if they鈥檙e due later to avoid running out of time at the end.
  3. Say no to multitasking. Doing three things at once seems impressive, but it can actually make you less productive. You鈥檙e better off focusing on one thing at a time and doing it well so you don鈥檛 have to do it over. Just make sure you do urgent and important things first and avoid getting sidetracked by things that can wait.
  4. Look ahead. Managing your time goes beyond class schedules and due dates. When the term begins, look at your course syllabus to see what鈥檚 coming up. Maybe while you鈥檙e doing research for next week鈥檚 assignment, you can make notes that will help with a paper or project coming up weeks from now.
  5. Block out distractions. With content bombarding us from every direction, it鈥檚 easy to get caught up in your Twitter feed or texts from your cousin. Turn everything off when you鈥檙e studying and tell your family and close friends your class schedule, so they鈥檒l know when to leave you alone.
  6. Ask for help. If you鈥檝e done your best to stay on track and still feel overwhelmed, speak up. Most instructors will work with you on deadlines if you鈥檝e put forth the effort, and most online programs have student advisers and counselors who can help. 糖心传媒鈥檚 Academic Support staff offers free services to help you manage your time, develop more effective study habits and get tutoring if you need it.
  7. Make time to reward yourself. When you鈥檙e blocking out time for classes and studying, be sure to schedule some time to take a break and enjoy yourself. Even small rewards along the way will help you avoid burnout and stay motivated to reach your goal.

Developing great time management skills will not only help you be a successful student, it will also give you an edge in your current job or in the new career you鈥檙e working toward. And remember, 糖心传媒鈥檚 here to help! You鈥檝e got this, and we鈥檝e got you!

Being well prepared before you embark on your academic career will help you to not only avoid unnecessary stress, but also to enjoy the journey. Here are 8 behind-the-scenes secrets you鈥檒l be glad you learned prior to taking your first online course:

#1 It听is听easier than you think.

If you haven鈥檛 read a book or written a paper since your high school days 鈥 don鈥檛 worry!听You鈥檒l make it through your online college courses just fine. First and foremost, you have the authentic and constant support of a team of professionals at 糖心传媒 鈥 including each course鈥檚 instructor 鈥 who听want听you to succeed. They are not focused on creating impossible hoops that you are supposed to jump through, or overloading you with work each week that no one could possibly complete.听You will have to schedule time to read the materials and complete the required assignments, but the work and the requirements are听not听impossible. From tutoring services to resources that give you step-by-step instructions on how to put your academic work together, you鈥檒l have all the help and resources you鈥檒l need to succeed in each course.

You have the authentic and constant support of a team of professionals at 糖心传媒 鈥 including each course鈥檚 instructor 鈥 who听want听you to succeed.

#2 Due dates are set in stone for a course, so you can plan ahead.

All due dates will be posted at the onset of each course 鈥 so that is set in stone and you can look through the whole course syllabus to see what is due and when it is due. You are free to browse throughout each week鈥檚 work and see exactly what day鈥檚 assignments are due and then put those due dates on your calendar. If you look ahead and plan accordingly, it will help you to submit your work on time and give you time to complete the projects thoroughly.

#3 You鈥檙e not expected to read听every听single resource each week.

Don鈥檛 be overwhelmed with a week鈥檚 list of videos, articles, and book chapters recommended for you to review. The tools and information are there to help you understand the week鈥檚 topic, but no one expects you to read every single word in every single source every single week. One of the awesome aspects of the weekly discussions is that your peers will likely choose to comment about and reference some of the resources that you didn鈥檛 read thoroughly. Of course, you can鈥檛 count on simply reading what your peers post 鈥 you鈥檒l want to share your own original thoughts for your discussion postings! So, while you are not expected or required to read every single article, reference, and book chapter for each week鈥檚 assignments, you will be expected to read what your classroom peers (and your instructor) have shared on the discussion board.

#4 It鈥檚 better to turn something in late than not at all.

Some college students 鈥 whether taking classes online or via a traditional brick-and-mortar classroom setting 鈥 think that if they missed an assignment鈥檚 due date, it鈥檚 too late to do it and they should just focus on the next assignment instead. On the contrary, it is always much better to still do the late/missed assignments and turn them in after the due date than to not submit them at all.听While you鈥檒l probably have a couple of points deducted for turning an assignment in late, that is much better than earning a 鈥渮ero鈥 for not turning in the work at all.

#5 Develop a rapport with your instructors.

Your instructors are people, too! At the onset of each course, he or she will provide a personal introduction about their academic accomplishments, career path, and possibly information about their family life or interests. If you know that you are going to be late submitting an assignment, or if you are stuck on exactly what to do for an assignment, send an email to your instructor. He/she will appreciate that you took the time before a project was due to reach out and let him/her know what is going on. They鈥檙e more than happy to听work with you to help ensure your continued success in the course.

#6 Peruse the course requirements and the university鈥檚 website.

Before a course actually starts, you鈥檒l typically get a few days to check out the course syllabus and get acclimated to what is expected of you. Set aside some time to explore the academic website and to complete any tutorials provided so that you can feel confident in your ability to post discussions, respond to your peers, and submit assignments virtually. You wouldn鈥檛 want to be bogged down with technical issues that could have been avoided had you taken the time to look around first! If you have any questions, send your instructor a note. If your questions are ones that you feel perhaps some of your peers might also have, post your questions in the听forum instead of via a personal email. This way, other students will be able to see your question(s) and the instructor鈥檚 responses without having to ask individually.

#7 Get (and stay) organized.

As you move forward in your studies, there will be research you鈥檝e done and assignments you鈥檝e already completed for other courses that will help you complete future work. You don鈥檛 want to waste time searching through all your files to find a past assignment, so staying organized can help set you up for success.听Give each听course听its own folder on your laptop, replete with the name of the course and the months you took the course. Then, for each听file听within that folder, detail the contents of each particular document in the name of the file. For example, you might label a folder as听鈥淎惫别谤别迟迟冲惭补谤办别迟颈苍驳冲闯补苍-础辫谤2018鈥听and a document within that folder as听鈥淎惫别谤别迟迟冲惭补谤办别迟颈苍驳冲飞别别办2-诲颈蝉肠耻蝉蝉颈辞苍-蝉辞肠颈补濒尘别诲颈补冲闯补苍22鈥.听 In addition, you may want to keep separate folders for research articles you鈥檝e found that were of particular interest, too. This will come in handy if your academic program requires a major paper, thesis, or final project due at the end of it. Taking a few extra minutes while you are completing assignments to label and save them properly on your computer could save a lot of time in the long run.

# 8 Answer听all听the questions.

To earn the most possible points for each assignment, post, and response you submit in each class, and to demonstrate your thoroughness and attention to detail, be sure to answer or address each component requested.听There will likely be a rubric for every assignment, so you鈥檒l be able to look at that grading scale ahead of time to see what your instructor is using as a guide when grading your work. To ensure you鈥檝e answered all the questions, you can use each question or required component as a 鈥渉eading鈥 and then respond underneath it before you post it. That way, you set yourself up to receive as many points as possible on each assignment!

While all eight of these behind-the-scenes secrets may not pertain to you immediately, at some point during your academic career they鈥檙e sure to come up.听Being proactive and knowing how to navigate your way through your academic journey ahead of time will help to make the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable.

There is no better time of the year than in January to create a new, detailed plan for the next 12 months of your life. While you certainly can set new goals on your birthday, at the beginning of each month, or even each new season, taking the time now 鈥 at the onset of a brand new year 鈥 to map out the goals and resolutions you want to accomplish throughout the year will help to inspire you to make mindful choices that will lead you closer to actualizing those dreams. Here are two tips on how to bring those ideas to fruition and three possible goals you might want to consider adding to your new life plan.

Tips to Accomplishing Your 2018 Goals

#1 Put it in writing.

It doesn鈥檛 matter if you can quickly rattle off three goals you want to accomplish this year without thinking twice about them (because they have been the same goals you have been trying to accomplish for years now) 鈥 write them down and put that list some place where you will see it every day. Whether you print the list and post it on your refrigerator, jot them down on a sticky note and tape them to your bathroom mirror, or use them as a screensaver on your electronic device, make sure your goals for this new year are in plain view. There is a lot to be said for that old adage, 鈥淥ut of sight, out of mind!鈥 Visually seeing a list of your goals every day will remind you that every choice you make throughout each day, week, and month this year will either bring you closer to accomplishing those goals, or take you steps farther off the path and away from your desired, ultimate destination.

In addition to listing your 2018 goals and making them visible, keep a journal. You don鈥檛 have to write something profound every day, but keeping a daily log of how you chose to spend your time and what you chose to do on each date will help you to see things that you might need to eliminate from your life or what you need to continue doing.听 You can keep the journal on your laptop and simply label it 鈥2018鈥 or you can buy a hardbound art book filled with blank pages at your local craft store and write, doodle, and paste pics in it each night before you go to bed. A year from now, you will be grateful that you took the time to be mindful of each of the days of your life in 2018.

#2 Remember: baby steps matter.

Before you can run a marathon, you have to take baby steps. It doesn鈥檛 happen overnight. It鈥檚 one step at a time that makes you stronger and brings you closer to the finish line. So, each day, purposefully do something that will lead you closer to accomplishing one or all of your goals.听 For example, if you want to build physical strength and develop your biceps and triceps this year, have a 1 or 2 pound dumbbell within sight and within reach of your desk or favorite chair, and periodically throughout the day, lift the weight and do reps of 12. Perhaps during the commercials of your favorite TV show you鈥檒l do the reps instead of your traditional workout of reaching into the bag of chips and lifting the chips to your mouth that you did last year while relaxing in front of the TV. J

#3 Be kind to yourself.

Having a slice of pie, a soda, or fries with your salad is not going to remove you completely off your goal-centered path. So, don鈥檛 beat yourself up if you make a choice that you know you probably shouldn鈥檛. More importantly, don鈥檛 think that because you had some cake at the company party that you 鈥渂lew it鈥 for the whole day, week, or month and should now just throw in the towel and eat whatever fattening or unhealthy thing you can get ahold of. Be kind to yourself so that you can be kind to others, and so that you can expect others to be kind to you, too.

Possible goals to include in your new year鈥檚 new plan.

#1 Financial goals.

Everyone wants to be debt free. Some accomplish that with dedication and discipline and others still struggle to make their minimum credit card payments each month. If being debt free is truly one of your goals for 2018, it can be done 鈥 there are just a few things you have to do. For starters, think 鈥 and think again — before you make any purchase. Ask yourself if what you are about to buy is something you really need (detergent for laundry, milk for breakfast, or lightbulbs for your lamps) or is it something you want to purchase because鈥t鈥檚 on sale, it鈥檚 pretty, or you feel you owe it to yourself (perhaps another sweater, a new handbag, or your third coffee for the day). Every single unnecessary purchase you make will bring you further away from your financial goals. If there is a fabulous dress on sale for $20 at your favorite store, but you really don鈥檛 need it and have no place to wear it, leave the store without it. That $20 you just saved can be an additional payment on a credit card this month. In your daily journal, jot down everything you purchased each day 鈥 gas, lunch, movie tickets, groceries. At the end of each week, take a look at your list and see where you could have made better choices.

#2 Academic goals.

Don鈥檛 let another year go by without starting and pursuing your academic goals. The longer you put it off, the longer you will have to wait for that promotion, for that boost in your self-confidence, for that pay raise, and for that opportunity to be an inspiration to others. Check to see if your employer will pay for all of or most of your college degree. That鈥檚 just one simple phone call for you to make to your company鈥檚 HR Department. If they do pay for employee schooling, ask about the specifics:

  • what grade do you need to earn in each course,
  • how many classes can you take at one time,
  • do they pay for it upfront or after you鈥檝e completed the course, and
  • do you have to major in a certain field of study.

If you need to figure out a way to pay for your college degree on your own 鈥 no big deal. Financial help is out there. Call 糖心传媒, explain your academic goals and your current financial situation, and one of our counselors will guide you seamlessly through the whole process of being enrolled and getting started. Even if you just take one course at a time, you鈥檙e on your way to achieving a goal you have had since your high school days. Of all the purchases you make in your lifetime, the investment in your academic career is the one that will continue to pay off, pay for itself, and add value to your personal and professional life for the rest of your life!

Don鈥檛 let another year go by without starting and pursuing your academic goals. The longer you put it off, the longer you will have to wait for that promotion, for that boost in your self-confidence, for that pay raise, and for that opportunity to be an inspiration to others.

#3 Physical goals.

Everyone either wants to lose weight or get in shape. The few who are 鈥渁lready there鈥 want to maintain their physique 鈥 which also requires establishing and keeping goals. While joining the local fitness club for $10 bucks a month may seem like a deal, it won鈥檛 be if you never actually go there. Instead, start out working with your dumbbells at home. Turn the music up loud and dance for 20 minutes. There are plenty of free workout sessions online that you can watch to do exercises at home 鈥 in the privacy of your own home. You don鈥檛 need the commitment and stress of a gym membership to add to your monthly bills and guilt for not going. In addition, while you don鈥檛 have to give up all those foods you love (and that got you where you are physically today), 听you do need to eat in moderation, purposefully, and thoughtfully. A few chips with a spinach-wrapped sandwich are better than a whole bag of snacks with a jar of dip that has an expiration date of five years (!). Drink lots and lots of water. Make fruit smoothies and throw in some kale and spinach. Everything you fuel your body with will either add to your body鈥檚 strength and health, or take away from it.

Whatever your personal, professional, academic, physical, financial, or spiritual goals this new year, write them down, review them, and make choices that lead you closer to them. Time is going to pass anyway 鈥 in less than a year from now, it will be another new year. Set yourself up so that you can look back at this year with pride and satisfaction knowing that you established goals and accomplished them.

Before you know it, the new year will be here. If you don鈥檛 purposefully make an effort today to consider your resolutions, goals, and plans for next year, you鈥檒l wonder how it managed to creep up so quickly and then, in no time at all, you鈥檒l wonder how it got to be the middle of January so soon! To be sure that this time, this new year you鈥檙e going to be organized, ready, and ahead of the game, here are some things you can do now:

1. Create six lists before the end of this year.

To be a well-balanced, well-rounded individual, it requires more than simply having a great job, or being physically fit, or intellectually stimulated, or spiritually grounded, or financially secure, or personally joyful. It takes all of those, together. So, in preparation for the new year, make a list for each category 鈥 finances, academics, health & fitness, spirituality, career, and personal. Under each heading, create a list of what you specifically plan to accomplish (or stop doing) this new year within that category. For example:

Finances

  • Save at least $___ a month.
  • Pay all bills ahead of schedule or on time.
  • Significantly improve credit score.
  • Don鈥檛 use more than 10% of credit available on credit cards.

Health & Fitness

  • Join a local fitness facility.
  • Use the facility at least three times a week.
  • Don鈥檛 eat past 7 PM.
  • Grocery shop mindfully; don鈥檛 buy/eat fast food.
  • Whenever possible, park far and take the stairs.

Academics

  • Research ways you can go back to school to finish your bachelor鈥檚 or pursue a master鈥檚 degree.
  • Ask the HR Director at work if the company pays for college tuition.
  • Start your degree program in January with the momentum of the new year.
  • Get each week鈥檚 coursework done ahead of schedule.
  • Strive to excel in every course.

Spirituality

  • Pray or mediate every morning and every evening.
  • Meet with other like-minded individuals once a week for prayer, services, and celebration.
  • Read something each day (a quote, a passage, a chapter) related to my religion or beliefs.
  • Volunteer at my local place of worship.
  • Let my light shine through my actions and words.

Career

  • Take a close look at where I am compared to where I want to be.
  • Decide if I could be a candidate for a promotion or if I should look for another employer.
  • Identify what interests me most for a career.
  • Look for ways to make processes, procedures, and protocols better at work.
  • Meet and talk with people who are doing professionally what I want to do.

Personal

  • Stay in touch with my extended family on a regular basis.
  • Get organized and minimalize.
  • Leave things better than how I find them.
  • Pay it forward whenever I can.
  • Stay optimistic, hopeful, and positive.

2. Print and posts your lists.

Put your lists somewhere you will see them on a daily basis.

3. Update and revise your lists.

Review your lists and update them as needed.

Create your lists that demonstrate and affirm what鈥檚 most important to you.

Instead of waiting until January 1st to decide what you want to accomplish (or stop doing) this new year, think ahead. Create your lists that demonstrate and affirm what鈥檚 most important to you. It鈥檚 super easy for time to slip away before you know it. Whether you get caught up in watching some reality show, viewing the same movie you鈥檝e already seen three times, or just feel stressed and exhausted from the day鈥檚 demands, you can take control of it by writing down what you want and how you plan to go about achieving it. Remember, however, it鈥檚 important to be flexible and resilient in life (because 鈥渟tuff鈥 inevitability happens that we never plan for, count on, or expect). So prepare today for the new year around the corner, and plan how you want to achieve your goals in every facet of your life.

What is your motivation for obtaining your degree?

My motivation lies with four people, my children, my husband, my mom, and the future me.

Why did you choose 糖心传媒’s Graduate & Professional Studies Program? 听听

The GPS program allows me to easily manage being a mom, wife, employee, and college student.

Please share one tip for your fellow classmates and future AU students:

Get to know your classmates, even though you’re doing your courses online your classmates are a great asset.

What helps to keep you motivated while you are in the program?

My everyday motivation is an empty spot in the hallway of my home, where my 糖心传媒 degree frame will hang. I walk through the hallway and think that something is missing then I remind myself that a frame will be there soon.

What is your anticipated Date of Graduation?

糖心传媒, Class of 2018

I chose 糖心传媒鈥檚 GPS program specifically because I am a self-sufficient, full-time working adult, and 糖心传媒 really caters to those of us already in the workforce.

What is your motivation for obtaining your degree?

I am earning my Bachelor鈥檚 degrees, which will be followed by my Master鈥檚 Degree, with the intention of using my degrees to excel in corporate banking.

Why did you choose 糖心传媒’s Graduate & Professional Studies Program? 听听

When I first got out of high school, I was one of the many individuals that lost their way. I wasn鈥檛 certain what I wanted to do with the rest of my life at only 18 years old, so I went back-and-forth to Tidewater Community College attempting to do what was considered the 鈥渞ight鈥 thing, which was earning a college education. Fast-forward 5 years later and I have had the opportunity to gain experience in a banking career, and am now extremely confident in what I am choosing to earn my degree in. I chose 糖心传媒鈥檚 GPS program specifically because I am a self-sufficient, full-time working adult, and 糖心传媒 really caters to those of us already in the workforce.

Please share one tip for your fellow classmates and future AU students:

Don鈥檛 fantasize about success — work for it.

What helps to keep you motivated while you are in the program?

Being unsuccessful is not an option for me. I have high expectations for my future and I will not allow anything, including myself, get in the way of achieving my goals.

What is your anticipated Date of Graduation?

糖心传媒, Class of 2020

From countless campuses across the globe with traditional brick-and-mortar college classroom settings to 24/7-accessible online programs across the World Wide Web, there are many options for individuals who want to earn an undergraduate or graduate degree. Deciding which university is the best for you ~ to help you not only achieve your academic goals, but also enjoy the process while doing so ~ can seem like an overwhelming and arduous feat. It doesn鈥檛 have to be.

One of the best ways to help you make any big decision regarding something that will have a major impact on your life is to take the advice from people who have 鈥渂een there and done that鈥! While each student enrolling in a degree program brings his/her own perspectives and experiences to the academic journey, it鈥檚 helpful to learn the reasons why students choose one university over another.

Here鈥檚 a look at why some students chose 糖心传媒鈥檚 Graduate & Professional Studies (GPS) Program:

鈥淚 chose 糖心传媒 GPS because the online and night courses were convenient for me and my family. I also think that 糖心传媒 was the best school for my degree.鈥
–听Ashley Denton, Bachelor of Business Administration Student, Class of 2017

鈥淚 chose 糖心传媒 GPS Program because I wanted to learn and network with other adult learners like myself. I also like the face-to-face interaction with the teachers as well as the option to complete classes online when necessary.鈥
–听
Serina Gaines, Master of Business Administration Student, Class of 2017

”听I have a full-time job, I鈥檓 a father, I鈥檓 a husband, I鈥檓 a community activist and I鈥檓 a high school football coach. I needed a program that would听work with my hectic schedule听and 糖心传媒鈥檚 GPS Program fit like a glove. The 5 week classes go by so fast, but you gain a great deal of knowledge during those 5 weeks. In 5 weeks, your brain is infused with the material you learn in that short period of time. It鈥檚 a lot easier than I thought it would be, I wish I would have done this 10 years ago.”
– Robert听Scott, Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Criminal Justice Student, Class of 2018

鈥淚 decided to pursue 糖心传媒鈥檚 GPS Program because the program aligns well with my lifestyle. I work full-time in healthcare, then help my husband at our business in the evenings. With 糖心传媒鈥檚 GPS Program, I am able to work on assignments at a time that is convenient for me as opposed to attending a physical class. The courses are accelerated, and I am able to learn in the comfort of my own home. Sure, other colleges offer online classes, but most aren鈥檛 accelerated courses like 糖心传媒鈥檚 GPS Program.鈥
–听Amanda Santore, Bachelor of Business Administration Student, Class of 2017

鈥淚 chose 糖心传媒鈥檚 GPS Program because of the accessibility and the amount of time that the Faculty, Administrators, and Staff put into each and every student. They make you feel that you are their only student.鈥
–听Michael Andrews, Bachelor of Business Administration Student, Class of 2018

鈥淚 chose 糖心传媒 because of my previous experience with the university鈥檚 staff, curriculum, and technology.鈥

–听Susan Friesz, Master of Business Administration Student, Class of 2019

鈥淚nitially, the positive comments made by others who attended or worked for AU motivated me to call. I appreciated getting all my questions and concerns answered clearly by the听
admissions counselor. I chose 糖心传媒鈥檚 GPS program because of the class format, which allows students to take one class at a time and complete the program in about 2 years. I love that this format allows working adults like myself to create a听balance of employment, family life, and continuing education.鈥
–听Jessika Holder, Master of Business Administration Student, Class of 2019

鈥淚 chose 糖心传媒鈥檚 GPS Program because of the professionalism and helpfulness of the admissions office, as well as the high standards they set for their students. I know that once I graduate, I will be well prepared for my career.鈥
–听Jessica Cooke, M.Ed. in Special Education Student, Class of 2017

Choosing the best university for you is easier when you know others at the school who have accomplished what you want to accomplish.

While your decision will ultimately come down to your own particular circumstances and to the experiences with the different departments and professionals you communicate with at a particular university, choosing the best university for you is easier when you know others have accomplished at a particular school what you want to accomplish.
